Staying Here

Facilities

A communal picnic area contains several picnic tables with views across the North Antrim countryside, down to the river and the little stone bridge. The indoor kitchen includes three 4-ring gas hobs, three sinks with hot and cold running water, kettles, a toaster, a microwave oven and a fridge.  Bamboo cutlery and some pots & pans are available in case you’ve forgotten your own!  There is also a charging station for your devices, with multiple 3-pin and USB sockets.

The kitchen is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramped access at the entrance.  The worktop height for one cooking station has been set at 750mm, with lever taps for that sink.

Our outdoor kitchen includes a cooking station with two 4-ring gas hobs for those with their own camping gas cylinder, as well as two kitchen sinks with hot & cold running water and and a small food preparation area.

Our fire circle is a beautiful place to while away the long summer evenings and make new friends.  The fire pit is surrounded by several “love seats” – individual outdoor seats, connected together in sets of two.  These in turn are surrounded by a ring of native trees.  An ideal spot for socialising or just gazing into the flames as the twilight fades, it’s also perfect for barbecuing, or toasting marshmallows!  Only untreated wood or charcoal can be used in the firepit – if you haven’t brought your own fuel, you can always buy some here.  We do ask however that you look after the fire responsibly.  Children must be supervised at all times.

There are 11 bathrooms, including two that are wheelchair-accessible.  Each bathroom is self-contained, including all the essentials—WC, wash hand basin and hot showers.  For the time being, each household is assigned its own specific bathroom so as to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests.
